High Quality without the Cost
For help on any of the Academy@LibreTexts Online courses please visit https://support.libretexts.org and submit a support ticket.
Whether your instructor sent you here, or you stumbled across LibreTexts while learning on your own, we're happy to have you learning with us!
LibreTexts is a collection of 16 Libraries of textbooks authored by faculty and publishers interested in reducing the cost of textbooks for students while still keeping the quality high! You can find books that are authored to fit the specific curriculum of an instructor's course, or ones that are meant to be used broadly in many different styles of courses.
But LibreTexts is more than just Textbooks!
You may also have assignments in our homework system, ADAPT. If you're trying to find it, then first log in to your campuses learning management system like Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle and see if there is a link to your homework there. Otherwise, you will go to https://adapt.libretexts.org and sign in with your institution ID. ADAPT may cost you a small amount of money, but do be aware that if you are already paying for one class this semester, you won't have to pay for another! ADAPT only charges once per term, no matter the number of courses you are taking. Encourage other faculty to use ADAPT as well to keep your costs down!
The next page has a video by a faculty member who gives their students a terrific walkthrough of using textbooks on LibreTexts. We hope you find what you need!
Some things to consider:

- LibreTexts is the Library, not the author. Each page has an author listed and that person is responsible for the material on that page. They are all faculty, or experts in their fields, but even then they may teach to a different audience or level. For typos, feel free to hit the blue question mark in the bottom-right of the page to let us know. However, we do not have any student support for helping to understand any of the material at this point. If you are interested in a career in learning technology keep LibreTexts in mind!
- For the most part, if you see any information about Support, that is support for instructors and graders. Much like a book publisher, LibreTexts Staff rarely has the expertise to assist in finding materials or teaching topics in your course.
- DO explore other books on LibreTexts! It may be that you learn from another approach to a topic better than others. Feel free to explore and send links to LibreTexts to your instructors when you ask them a question to show them where you are getting a sample problem or an explanation. It can help them to reply.
