ADAPT for Students
This course is intended to introduce you to all that is contained in ADAPT. Any logged-in user can obtain the certification.
Making things more straightforward for Students
Students interact with ADAPT for doing problems in various ways.
- Directly through their LMS (like Canvas) with Single Sign-On, students click a link in their course on their LMS and are directly logged into ADAPT, and their gradebook on the LMS updates automatically. Assignments are still done on the ADAPT site, but navigation is all within the LMS. The LMS controls access to the links, but due dates and late penalties are all done by the instructor through ADAPT.
- Logging in to ADAPT. This is done at places that do not want to, or cannot, link their LMS to ADAPT. ADAPT includes the ability to set due dates and options within the ADAPT platform and can manage the gradebook there.
- Directly embedded in their textbook pages either Formatively (not graded), or Summatively (for a grade). The individual question, or the assignment can be embedded directly into a LibreTexts page.
Regardless of the technology underlying the homework problem (WebWork, H5P, multiple choice), students will see no difference from their perspective.
Take a look at the example of a few formative (non-graded and therefore require no login) problems in the sample assignment below. This is what it would look like when embedded into a LibreTexts Page.
Additionally, within the LibreTexts ADAPT assignment set up, you can generate links and QR codes to use in class or in other instances (homework, e-mails to call out specific questions, etc.).
