This course is intended to introduce you to all that is contained in ADAPT. Any logged-in user can obtain the certification.

In January of 2025, LibreTexts announced the launch of LibreTexts Academy. This is a Center for Open Instructional Innovation and Professional Development and is headed by Justin M. Shorb, Ph.D. With over a decade of experience teaching at various types of institutions and a background in Science Education specializing in the design of online textbooks, Justin brings experience, creativity, and passion to the community. 

Visit academy.libretexts.org to check out what is going on there - specifically the options from the "Faculty Resources" menu at the top. Many of the resources that have been mentioned here are linked from that menu.

Academy Online is an asynchronous course platform with step-by-step guides on how to get started and then to master LibreTexts from Publishing to ADAPT homework and more! It launched at the beginning of June 2025 with the first three FREE courses (of which, this is the first!). It is on a subscription-based model and offers full access to all courses either on a month-by-month subscription, or at a discount for a 6-month subscription.

Certifications and Badging

Subscribers who pass at least 3 of our Courses with assessments can request a "Certificate of Completion" that lists the coursework completed that can be used in their documentation of Professional Development through LibreTexts Academy Online.

All of the courses, with the exception of this course, are meant to be completed in a sequential, or linear process. As you progress through courses on LibreTexts, you will see a progress bar, and when you click "Finish" at the end of a course you will get a green trophy. This indicates completion of a course (with any assessments along the way for the paid courses).
